Η Gedächtniskirche στο Βερολίνο - Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church

Χτισμένη το 1890 στην μνήμη του Κάισερ Βίλεμ, καταστράφηκε στους βομβαρδισμούς του 1943. Η σημερινή εικόνα του κτηρίου διαμορφώθηκε μεταξύ 1959 και 1963 με την προσθήκη δυο ακόμα κτηρίων χτισμένων από τα θραύσματα των βιτρώ του κατεστραμένου κτηρίου..

The Protestant Kaiser William Memorial Church (in German: Kaiser-Wilhelm-Gedächtniskirche) is located in Berlin on the Kurfürstendamm in the centre of the Breitscheidplatz. The original church on the site was built in the 1890s. It was badly damaged in a bombing raid in 1943. The present building, which consists of a church with an attached foyer and a separate belfry with an attached chapel, was built between 1959 and 1963. The damaged spire of the old church has been retained and its ground floor has been made into a memorial hall.

Cais das Colunas has always been the main entrance of Lisbon since immemorial times.

Here the most precious cargoes was unloaded and kings have been welcomed. History was made here.

But Cais das Colunas is also an important part of all Lisbon citizens too. People come here day and night, with a chosen company or alone, in happiness and in sadness. If only this steps could talk...
That mixture turns this space magical.
