Στις 6 Απρίλη 1966 -εποχή ψυχρού πολέμου- οδήγησαν οι Σοβιετικοί πιλότοι
Μπόρις Βλαντιμίροβιτς και Γιούρι Νικολάγιεβιτς Γιάνωβ το πολεμικό τους αεροσκάφος
που είχε σοβαρή τεχνική βλάβη στη λίμνη Στοσσενσεε, με αυτή την πράξη αυτοθυσίας
έχασαν την ζωή τους, έσωσαν όμως τις ζωές εκατοντάδων πολιτών του δυτικού Βερολίνου
οδηγώντας το αεροσκάφος τους στη λίμνη. Αυτή η πινακίδα είναι εδώ είναι αφιερωμένη στη μνήμη τους, για να θυμίζει τον ανθρωπισμό τους στην εποχή του ψυχρού πολέμου.

On the 6th of April 1966 the Soviet pilots Boris Wladimirowitsch and Juri Nikolajewitsch Janow droved and dropped their defect air fighter with serious technical damage into the Stössensee sea and by this act of self-sacrifice they lost their lives.
Due to this extraordinary humanitarian action they protected the lives of hundreds west Berlin citizens from a big catastrophe. This table is in honour for them who shown humanism in the "Cold War" era.
